The manual notching machine is used to quickly and precisely produce U or V-shaped notches on standardised plastic test samples. These samples are then used for Charpy, Izod or tensile impact tests or to determine notched impact strength in accordance with ASTM, ISO, DIN or other standards. Replaceable notching knives with a constant proﬁle (angle and radius) are used.
